I just got these lovelies in the mail the other day. The theme for this issue is impostor, which is perfect not only because I like to draw masks on things, but also because there's a little writeup by me in there and I am definitely not a wordsmith.
If your not familiar with the magazine you should take a peek at their Site HERE, then pick up a copy at your local magazine shoppe.

Huge thanks to the people at Grain for having me as their featured artist.

I am now retreating for 3 days to hang out in another city's flea markets. Don't try to follow me, you'll be really bored.

Waterfront Craft Fair!

2 new posters for this weekends Bad monster Screenings
THIS WEEKEND HOMIES....

Saturday, Demons, as it should be seen... in a theatre! :

Breakin, the worst thing I have ever done, my eyes vomited on multiple occasions while coloring this......
Also, A poster for the folks at SDR who are bringing in Bong Ra and End.User for one amazing evening of breakcore madness. I usually try to avoid designing digital looking posters, but in this case it seemed highly appropriate. Its halfway across the country from me... but If your in Vancouver go get yourself some tickets.

The Metals

I'm about a week behind on posting. But its was a busy week!

First up, new artwork for Derelict (Awesome progressive death metal from Montreal), this piece went through some major reconstruction, but in the end It's 100 times better than before.

So far this is just the promo work for their 3 song Demo. There shall be more dystopian visuals for these guys coming in the next few months. CLICK HERE for preview of the first track of the Demo. Do it.

I love concept records, and I extra especially love politically minded concept bands.

Halt! Goat Break!

Goat head for the lads in Breathe Knives. This will be morphed into a shirt, which will be for sale at the show they;ll be playing at Amigos this Saturday(Feb 19th) along with Adolyne, Old Problems and Electrohash (details). If you haven't heard them yet, their driving all the way from Calgary just to serenade you, so come out on Saturday.
I'll even be breaking hermit to be there....

Goats are all at once grim, cool, and adorable. I love drawing them.
Let us celebrate their glory by watching a classic:

Yeesh, It's getting cold here. Bring on the deep winter I guess.
A couple of new prints, there is a third which will be printed following some studio upgrades.

A set of these (in some swanky handmade frames) are part of a group show up at the Esteem for the Home gallery (college park mall, 8th St. Saskatoon). The show is a fundraiser for the Ink Slab printmakers. We are Saskatoon's only print collective and we're collecting funds to get a studio built, come check it out! (reception Feb 3) Also, check out this news spot featuring a somewhat awkward yours truly for more info : Global TV news spot and make a blood oath commitment via social networking.

Oh hey, I now have an Etsy shop Here. The Black Christmas and SNDN posters are up. It seems to be a pretty good system for selling. I'll add a few more posters in the next few days, after I find myself some decent mailing tubes.

I've also noncommittally started a sketchbook blog for personal betterment. It'll hopefully be a weekly drop zone for sketchbook pages and all the other unrelated crap I like making for no one in particular.

If the CV page is down, its because I'm updating it.

Two poster prints for the Bad Monster Films double feature Christmas extravaganza!

I love Black Christmas, it's one of those rare films that manages to severely creep me out every time I watch it. If you havent seen Silent Night Deadly Night, i suggest you head on over to your local videocassette rental establishment, because your missing out. Siskel and Ebert had a special hate on for this one.

Another poster for Bad Monster Films, Saturday Aug 15th yo. It'll be an extra horroriffic evening given it will be preceded by the 2nd annual Saskatoon Zombie Walk. So even if dressing up in your favorite shade of fake blood and poorly applied corpse paint isn't your bag, you should still come out to witness the terror as it shuffles across the Broadway bridge to the theater.
Don't forget to bring your shotgun!

So I've just finished a move, and now that the chaos is mostly contained, its time for Prints! lots of prints! This is a variation on a cover for a soon-to-be released comp by the breakcore deviants at Severed Digit It shall be morphed into a silkscreen soon. More to follow.... as I attempt to get my act together.
